The UNF men’s soccer team lost to the Lipscomb Bisons 1-0 Saturday night at Hodges Stadium. The Ospreys went 12-1 in shots against the Bisons during the second half, but fell short of making a goal.
Lipscomb’s Reece Holcombe scored the one and only goal for the game in the 56th minute. Both UNF and Lipscomb had a total of three shots on goal for the evening.
UNF Head Coach Derek Marinatos knew the Ospreys were facing a tough opponent going into the game saying it would be a “90-minute battle.”
The Ospreys are now 5-5 overall and 2-2 in conference play for the season. The Ospreys will travel to Fort Meyers, Fla. to battle current first-place and Atlantic Sun rivals, Florida Gulf Coast University on Friday, Oct. 24.
